Measurement Guide

Before You Measure

Accurate body measurements help you get a better‑fitting formal gown. Our standard size chart uses inches for all values>.

  • Use a soft flexible measuring tape; string + ruler works as an alternative.
  • Wear the undergarments you plan to use with your gown, avoid thick outer clothes.
  • Stand naturally, keep relaxed posture, do not suck in your stomach.
  • Keep tape snug against skin but not squeezing your body; you should slip one finger under tape comfortably.
  • We highly recommend having another person help take measurements for higher accuracy.
Custom‑size service is free: If our standard sizes do not fit you, please select the "Custom Size" option when placing your order and provide your body measurements. Custom-made dresses are non-returnable and non-exchangeable, so please double-check the measurements you have entered.

How To Take Key Measurements

Bust

Important: This is NOT equal to your bra size.

Relax arms down by your sides. Wrap tape around the fullest part of your bust, keep tape level and parallel to floor all around your back and chest.

Waist

Find your natural waist, which is the narrowest part of your torso (roughly 1 inch above belly button). Bend side‑to‑side lightly, the crease you see marks natural waistline. Measure around this spot, leave small room for breathing comfort.

Hips

Stand feet together. Measure around the fullest part of hips and buttocks, about 7 inches below natural waist. Keep measuring tape horizontal. This measurement matters especially for mermaid and fitted gowns.

Hollow to Floor (Barefoot)

Stand bare‑footed. Start tape at the hollow dip between your collarbones, measure vertically straight down to floor. This length decides overall gown length for long formal dresses.

Height

Stand upright with your feet together. Please measure barefoot. Extend the tape measure vertically from the top of your head to the floor.

Tips For Choosing Size

  • Your casual‑clothing size from other brands may not match our gown sizes. Always refer to actual body inches instead of size label number.
  • If your measurements fall between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size. Formal gowns are generally easier to alter down than to let out; for a local tailor, taking in a garment that is too large is far simpler than dismantling and reworking an elaborately decorated gown to increase its size.
  • Please consult our Size Chart to select the appropriate size.
